MEETINGS MONDAYS @ 6PM, 657 W SAINT MARY'S, UNIT C11
READING SCHEDULE
We have adopted a new, somewhat fast-paced reading schedule starting April. The schedule, with tentative due dates, has been posted on our reading list page. In addition, a PDF of the schedule is available.
WHAT IS TUCSON RED ACTION?
Tucson Red Action Group is a local Marxist study group committed to the revolutionary theory and practice of Socialism. We are local folks of the community who recognize that our social and economic order is not working for the vast majority. We are picking up the pieces of our shattered revolutionary history in the hopes of rebuilding a militant mass worker's movement, a movement which is finally capable of doing that great task none before have achieved; the complete destruction of Capitalism, the racist government of the United States, and their replacement with a really free association of humankind under the economic conditions of Communism.
UPCOMING EVENTS
MOVIE NIGHTS
MAY 9TH: JUDAS AND THE BLACK MESSIAH
@ The BCC, 657 W Saint Mary's. Doors 6:30.
On December 4, 1969, the Chicago police department surrounded the apartment of Black Panther Party leader Fred Hampton and shot him while he slept.
Judas and the Black Messiah is a dramatization of his life and death, which also invents a street gang named "The Crowns." This is a stand-in for many groups which took part in Hampton's "rainbow coalition," mostly representing the Puerto Rican nationalist group the Young Lords Organization.
